Alex is an advocate for animal adoption and welfare and enjoys bringing attention to the “underdogs” at local shelters.She has three spoiled dogs, Bandit, Riley and Henry, who you’ll often see pictured on her social media (proud mom!). Alex grew up in Macungie, PA, and studied at Syracuse University and Penn State University. Before that, she spent two years at WOWK-TV and WVNS-TV in Huntington, WV.
Previously, she worked as the morning meteorologist at FOX Carolina in Greenville, SC. Alex Wilson joined The Weather Channel in March 2013.
